
Colleen Walacavage, sole proprietor and principal editor of CW Editing Service, has over fifteen years of experience as an editor and writer in medical, technical, and educational arenas. She also serves as the current president of the American Medical Writers Association Mid-Atlantic Chapter (AMWA–MAC). She has been a member of AMWA since 2014 and has served on the AMWA-MAC board of directors as president-elect and treasurer in addition to president.
Ms. Walacavage is thorough, hardworking, respectful of others, and comfortable working with sensitive subject matter. One of her previous roles as writer/editor/program analyst provided her with experience preparing proposals, brochures, and presentations as well as experience developing cross-functional team relationships and networks. She has successfully managed and completed multiple projects within given deadlines while prioritizing the needs of her clients.
In addition to receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Policy and Management Studies and a Master of Arts in English: Professional Writing and Editing, she attained her pharmacy technician certification in March of 2015 and was employed as a CVS (Target channel) pharmacy technician for three years. In 2021, she attained her Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS) certification by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS).
